Silver award for client website at the Cambridgeshire Digital Awards

29/11/2016

We are over-the-moon this week after one of our client websites, Headstart Day Nursery was awarded 'Silver' in the Cambridgeshire Digital Awards 2016: School, Education and Charity Category last week at the Belfry Cambridge.  The website was among several outstanding websites for some of Cambridgeshire's leading schools and charities, so we are delighted that our website was selected as one of the best.

Cambridgeshire Digital Awards 2016

The website was created in collaboration with Jane Horwood, Director at Cambridge based Web Design company Catfish Web Design, as part of a wider 4 year marketing plan for our client, Magic Nurseries, (who currently own 17 privately run children's nurseries across the UK).

Magic Nurseries commissioned Cambridge Marketing Consultancy in 2013 to plan and implement new marketing strategies for each of the nurseries within the group.  Our objective was to raise the profile for each nursery and engage with parents through a combination of traditional and digital marketing initiatives; including new branding & logos, marketing material, social media, advertising and PR.

A key success factor for the new websites was ensuring that each nursery kept their own identity and stood out from the growing number of competitors in their local towns and counties.  It was important for us to capture the heart and soul for each nursery and provide parents with a virtual representation of what the nursery offers their child.

We steered away from the stock photography and generic content previously used for the websites, opting instead, for a combination of bespoke photography, videos,  parent/ child testimonials, branding and unique, SEO enriched content to give parents a real insight into life at the nursery before arranging a visit.

Parent comment 'Love the new website, and the video. Just shows what a happy and nurturing environment the children are in!'

Our role as project manager was to coordinate the design and build phase, organise the photography and video production and create unique content for each website.

Jane and her team at Catfish Web Design have helped us to create beautiful, bespoke website's that are professional, responsive and full of character.

Special thanks to Cambridge photographer Peter Corr for the beautiful photography, Audrie Reed of BM Videomedia for capturing the nursery through the art of video and Sarah Croft of Croft Associates for her unique, fun and cleverly designed logo's.
